After breakfast we left Port Leone for a bay in the South of Kastos...

swimming etc...

 

In the afternoon we sailed to Kalamos-village.

 

George helped and instructed us mooring on the quay. 

Kalamos is a nice laid-back village.

At night we had a delicious diner at George's taverna.

This morning we had a very delicious breakfast at the Sivota Bakery, a must !

 

At noon we left Sivota for Port Leone on Kalamos.

 

We anchored and longlined to the rocks under the Church of the abandoned village.

 

It again was  an afternoon of swimming etc...

At night we had a nice diner on board.

After breakfast we took it slowly, with some swimming, supping ans relaxing.

 

Today we sailed over to Lefkas.

 

At noon we anchored in Ormos Rouda to have a bite.

 

Later we sailed around the corner to Sivota.

In Sivota we moored on the quay of the 12 Gods taverna,

they supply water and electricity  on the quay.

At night we had a very nice diner at this taverna.

In the morning we took a stroll around Kastos.

In the afternoon we left Kastos for the small trip over to Meganissi.

We anchored and and longlined to the rocks in the Abelike-bay.

In the evening we took a 20-minute walk to the village of Vathi, where we had a nice diner.

In the morning we spent a relaxing time swimming, snorkeling and supping.

 

At noon we hauled anchor and hopped over to Kastos, a short trip.

 

We took the last spot on the quay.

 

Kastos is a small and pictoresque island.

 

At night we had a nice dinner in the taverna below the windmill.

In the morning we explored the nice town of Vathy,

had a coffee on a terrace etc...

At noon we left the quay and first we went to the fuel-station on the opposite side of the bay.

We had a nice half-wind sail towards Atokos.

After 2 hours we anchored in a beautiful bay on the Southside of Atokos.

After some swimming and relaxing, we decided to stay here for the night.

We spent a wonderful evening under the stars.

...after 3 hours of sleep we woke up with a sunny blue sky and no wind !

 
Today was the only day with calm winds for our trip to Ithaka, 

the next 3 days they predicted Northerly winds up to force 4.

 
Because our course is North, we decided to leave Zakynthos for Ithaka.

 
It was a calm and long trip.

 
At 15.30h we moored at the town quay in Vathy on Ithaka.

 

Vathy is a very nice lively Greek town.

 
In the evening we had a wonderfull Greek diner at the Taverna Trechantiri.

In the middle of the night the upcoming WSW-wind and the waves turned the harbour into a whirlpool !
The safety on the quay was no longer guaranteed.

 
So we had to leave in the middle of the night to prevent damage to the boat.

 
We motored 2 hours to the safe harbour of Zakynthos-city, were we arrived at 5.00 in the morning. 

 

After 3 hours of sleep we woke up with a sunny blue sky and no wind !

We had a nice half-wind sail to the North of Zakynthos.

 
At 14.15h we moored on the quay of the town of Agios Nikoloas, in Zakynthos.
Dimitris was very helpful with mooring etc.

 
At night we had a nice diner in the Taverna.
