Today we had broad reach, south through the Ithaka channel.

 
Early in the afternoon we entered Agia Eufiminia,

but all places were reserved in the harbour, so we had to leave.

 
Our next stop was Sami, there we encounterd the same situation ... all places reserved ...
This is unseen the second half of September !

 
So we carried on to Poros.
At 16.00h we arrived in Poros, luckily we had one of the last places on the quay.

21-09-2021 KIONI Ithaka - FISCARDO Kefalonia

This morning we left Ithaka for a short trip to Kefalonia. 

 
There was nearly no wind, so we had to motor.

 
At noon we arrived in Fiscardo.
The harbour was already full.

 
We anchored and longlined to the rocks and had an afternoon of swimming, snorkeling and supping.

 
It was very bussy, I’ve never seen so many yachts anchoring on such a tight space.

 
At night we had a nice Greek diner at Fiscardo-harbour.

Today we stayed in Kioni.

 

We took a taxi to the mountain village of Anogi,

from here we did the walk back over the old mule path to Kioni, a beautiful walk of 5km.

 

Afterwards we relaxed and enjoyed the laidback atmosphere of Kioni.

 

In the evening we had a nice diner at the Avra restaurant.

After breakfast, some of us did a walk, some of us tried to sup, … holiday !

 

At 10.30h we left Atherinos on Meganisi.

 

The first half of the trip our motor had to help us out.

 

Afterwards we had a very nice, sharp reach, sail towards Ithaka.

Sunday-sailing at his best.

 

At 14.00h we arrived in Kioni on Ithaka.

 

We took the last place on the quay.

Kioni is probably the most beautiful town on Ithaka, a postcard.

 

In the afternoon some of us had a swim, to cool down, it’s hot.

 

In the evening we had a very nice dinner with a view at Lizzy's.

Our flight from Dusseldorf landed in Preveza at 10.30h.

 

So it was 11.30h when we arrived in the Lefkas Marina.

 

The staff of El Yachting welcomed us and soon after we did the paperwork.

 

The owner of the boat, Greg, did the check-in. Apollon is an older boat but well maintained.

 

At 15.00h we left the Lefkas Marina.

 

The wind was on the nose, so we motored our way to Meganisi.

 

At 17.15h we moored on the quay of the Atherinos Yacht Club in Atherinos bay.

 

At night we had nice Greek dinner at the restaurant.

At 9.30h after breakfast we left Poros.

The wind let us down, so we motored our way to Sounion.

At 14.00h we anchord in the bay under Cape Sounion, with excellent view on the Temple.

It was time to swim and have some lunch.

At 16.00h we started the short trip to the townharbour of Lavrion.

45 minutes later we arrived in Lavrion, the crew of Alpha Yachting was already waiting for us.

The check-out went swift, our boat was OK, so there was no problem.

In the evening we had a fine Greek diner at Pezodromos in the centre of Lavrion.

At night there was a lot of noise disturbance by a local Disco, the music/noise went on untill 4.00h !!!

It was a hot and very short night…

Today we had a nice lazy day.

Because it’s so hot we decided to stay in Russian bay untill this evening.

So it was a day of swimming and snorkeling and swimming and …

At 16.00h we left the bay for the northerly town-quay in Poros.

After mooring we took a walk around town and to the Clocktower.

At night we had a delicious fish-diner at the Apagio taverna.

After breakfast we left Ermioni at 10.30h.

 

Our initial destination is Hydra.

 

We had a nice and quick halfwind sail towards Hydra.

When we arrived in the Mandraki bay at 12.15h it was completely packed.

 

So we sailed on to Poros.

At 15.00h we anhored in Monastery bay on Poros, for some swimming and lunch.

It is a very hot day so we stayed longer in this bay.

 

At 18.45h we went to Poros town, but to our astonishment every place on the town quays was taken !

 

So we went to Russian bay where we anchored (with long line to the shore).

 

We had a nice diner on board, with view on the lights of Poros-town.

After a long morning swim we left the bay at 10.30h.

 

Today it’s a short hop over to the mainland, Ermioni.

 

At 12.35h we moored at south quay in Ermioni.

Luckily we were early because afterwards a giant flottila of the Yachtweek took in the quay.

 

It was a day of swimming and strolling through Ermioni.

 

At night we had a delicious diner at Kavos.
