After breakfast we manoeuvred out of the harbour at 10.00h.


We had a downwind course and the waves weren’t that high,

so the sailing was comfortable.


At 16.00h we entered the harbour of Adamas on Milos.

We anchored on the marina quay. 

Price 10€/night incl. water & electricity.


A night we had a very nice diner in O Hamos, a 15 min. walk from the harbour.

Due to strong wind we stayed in the harbour of Livadi on Serifos.

We explored  the Chora, on the hill above Livadi.

The views from up there were magnificent.

After breakfast and a morning swim we hauled our anchor at 10.00h.


The wind was pretty heavy but we had a broad reach, so it was tenable.


After a 7 hours trip we reach the harbour of Livadi on Serifos.

We went alongside one of the quays in the new harbour.


At night we had a nice Greek dinner at Stamatis, on the beach.

At 11.15h we landed in Athens.

We took a taxi bus to the Alimos marina, were  we arrived at 13.00h.


We checked in our yacht Hydra, a Bavaria 44. 

An older boat but well maintained, with all the mod-comfs. 


After grocery shopping, we left the marina at 15.30h.


There wasn’t much wind so we motored our way to Sounio.


Just before sunset we dropped our anchor in the bay of Sounio,

famous for his Poseidon-temple.


After taking a swim we had diner on board, an ideal start of our Greek holiday.

Sailing in the Cyclades 12-26 september 2020

 Hi,


From the 12th untill the 26th of september, we hope to be sailing in Greece,
a trip from Athens, through the Cyclades. 
Fingers crossed, that all goes well, due to the travelrestrictions eg. Covid-19.


We chartered a
Bavaria 44.

Sailtrip CYCLADES June 2020 : Cancelled

Hi,
Due to the Covic19-virus our salingtrip in the Cyclades for the beginning of June is cancelled.
...maybe, hopefully we can go on a sailingtrip in the Med in september ... fingers crossed !

Today it’s cloudy with rain showers.

After breakfast we first went to Gocek, to fuel up and get to the waste-deposit station.

After this we spent the afternoon with swimming and relaxing in the Gunlukluk bay.

At 1600h we went to the D-Marin to check-out our yacht,
our yacht was OK, the service of Pitter-yachting is superb!

In the evening we went to Gocek town, 2 minutes by foot.
We had a very nice diner at the Lotis-kitchen (ca.15 € pp).

This ends a very nice and mostly sunny week in Turkey.

Today is gonna be a lazy day.

After breakfast we left Sarsala bay and motored 2 miles to Manastir bay.

Here we did an afternoon of swimming, snorkelling and relaxing.

At 15.30h we hauled anchor and got on our way to Tomb bay.

We arrived in Tomb bay at ca.16.15h.

We moored at the the new jetty of the Zeytin restaurant, there are a lot of yachts moored here for the night.

In the distance you can see the ancient tombs carved in the rocks.

At night we had a very nice seafood diner at the restaurant (ca.30 € pp).

As always after breakfast we took a swim.

Today the weather is hot and sunny again, but not much wind.


At 10.30h we left the bay.

We motored across the Fethiye-gulf, to enter in the Gocek-gulf.


At 13.45h we moored at the jetty of the restaurant in Sarsala bay.

This is one of the most beautiful bay-restaurants I've ever seen!

Before sunset we hiked through the forest to the top of the hill to have a nice view.

In the evening we had a nice diner in the restaurant
(ca.25€ pp).

After breakfast we took a swim in the turquoise water,
the sea is still nice and warm in this season.

At 10.15h we hauled anchor and left Asi Koyu.

There was a little bit of wind, so we put up the sails and motorsailed towards our destination.

In the afternoon at 15.00h we arrived in the sheltered bay of Karacaoren.
We took a mooringbuoy, layed out by the restaurant.

After lunch we took a well deserved swim in the crystal clear water.

At night we were treated with magnificent sunset in this bay.

We of course had diner in the local restaurant, nice location and nice food. (25€ pp)
