After breakfast,  some of us took a swim in the turquoise water of Lakka bay.

At 1030h we got our anchor up and left.

We had a nice back wind sail, we almost sailed the entire trip.

At 1540h we entered the small harbour of Sagiada, on mainland Greece, close to the Albanian border.

There's room for only ca.8 yachts. Today there are 3 yachts here.

The view and sunset over Corfu is sublime.

At night we had a very nice fish & shrimps dinner at the Alekos taverna.

After breakfast part of the crew rented some motorbikes  to tour around the island.

A few of us stayed on board to wait for the technician to come.

At 1500h he arrived with the new anchorwinch.
After he successfully build the part in we could finally leave Gaios at 1700h.

We set course for the large bay of Lakka in the North.

At 1830h we anchored in Lakka, it is very busy, there are at least 30 yachts anchored here.

At night we went to the village in our dinghy.

We had a lovely diner in the Nionios taverna.

Today we were forced to stay in Gaios,
a technician was coming to fix our broken anchorwinch.

So we had a lazy day … coffee drinking, shopping, reading, our just doing nothing.
But there could be worse places to be stuck in.

Bad news our anchorwinch is totally broken, so it has to be replaced.
We’re afraid that also tomorrow we have to stay in Gaios.

At night we took a taxi to Lakka, a small village in the North.

We had a delicious diner at Alexandros, they cook traditional Greek dishes.

This night and morning it rained a lot, 

so we had breakfast inside.

We left Parga at 10.30h.

It was a fast sail, we had a broad reach.

At 12.30 we arrived in Gaios on Paxos.

Due to the strong wind, mooring in the harbour 

was difficult, but after 2 attempts we managed.

In the afternoon the quays were quickly filled with 

Yachts, it was pretty busy  in Gaios.

We payed 22€ mooring fee. 

At night we had a tasty diner at the Genesis taverna.

After breakfast we made a small walk through the small village and watch the fishermen come in.

At 10.30h we hauled anchor and left Petriti. 

Today there nearly no wind. It's very hot but not

always sunny.

At 14.40h we moored on the rocky quay at Ormos Valtos, near Parga.

Most of us went for a swim and a walk along the beach.

In the evening we took the taxiboat into Parga.

Parga is very spherical town with a lot of shops, 

bars and restaurants. 

We had a very fine and nice diner at the Villa Rosa,

a little bit more classy but very tasty.

After a 2,5 hour flight from Cologne we arrived 

early in the morning in Corfu.

After breakfast in the Gouvia Marina part of the 

crew went Shopping. 

We booked an early check-in so at 1300h we did the 

check-in of our Sun Odyssey 44i 'Sofia'.

Our boat is not brand new but in perfect condition.

At 14.40h we left the Marina.

We passed Corfu town and set course for the South 

of Corfu. There wasn't much wind, do we had to motor

this trip.

At 1735h we arrived at Petriti, a small fishingharbour.

Luckily we catch on of the last places on the quay.

At night we had very nice Greek-fish-diner at 

the Limnopoula-taverna.

Sailing IONIAN from 25th May - 1st June 2019.

Hi,

From the 25th of May untill the 1st of June, we're sailing in Greece,

a trip from Corfu, through the Northern Ionian.

We chartered a Sun Odyssey 44i from Discovery Yachting.

This morning we rented a car to drive to the ancient temple of Aphaia,
always a nice excursion.

At noon we left the harbour of Aegina.

At first we had to motor because of no wind.
After 2 hours we finally could sail for an hour, it was fun.

At 16.10h we arrived in the big marina of Alimos Kalamaki,
the guys from Kerkeris Yachting helped us dock and did the check-out.

At night we had our final Greek-diner at Vassilis, a 5 minute walk from the marina.

To close the evening we had a some drinks on the beach at the Edem-bar.

This morning wevleft Korfos at 9.20.
The weather is sunny and warm, but again there's no wind.

Our first stop was a bay on the southside of the island of Angistri.
We all had a nice swim.

At 1450 we arrived in the harbour of Aegina, we luckely took one of the last places on the quay.
It's busy in this harbour.

At night we had a lovely diner in the backstreets of Aegina.

Today we left early, at 630.
We had breakfast while underway.
There was no wind, so we had to motor.

The weather was summerly,  hot and sunny.

At 1330 we had permission to enter the Corinth canal,
it's a very impressive passage.
We had to pay 175 € (Greek charteryacht 13m).

Afterwards we anchored in a small bay to have some lunch and a swim.

At 1715 we arrived in the bay of Korfos.
We moored at the quay of George's restaurant, we were the only yacht.
At night Papa George and his wife made us a delicious diner.
