After breakfast we left Ermioni at 10.30h.

 

Our initial destination is Hydra.

 

We had a nice and quick halfwind sail towards Hydra.

When we arrived in the Mandraki bay at 12.15h it was completely packed.

 

So we sailed on to Poros.

At 15.00h we anhored in Monastery bay on Poros, for some swimming and lunch.

It is a very hot day so we stayed longer in this bay.

 

At 18.45h we went to Poros town, but to our astonishment every place on the town quays was taken !

 

So we went to Russian bay where we anchored (with long line to the shore).

 

We had a nice diner on board, with view on the lights of Poros-town.

After a long morning swim we left the bay at 10.30h.

 

Today it’s a short hop over to the mainland, Ermioni.

 

At 12.35h we moored at south quay in Ermioni.

Luckily we were early because afterwards a giant flottila of the Yachtweek took in the quay.

 

It was a day of swimming and strolling through Ermioni.

 

At night we had a delicious diner at Kavos.

This morning we fueled up with diesel, ca.165 lt.

 

After grocery shopping we left Plaka at 11.30h.

 

The first part of the trip we hoisted the sails and had a nice and fast halfwind sail.

 

Afterwards the wind gave up on us and our motor had to help us out.

 

At 16.50h we anchored in Ag.Nikolaos bay on Hydra.

It’s a delightful place far away from civilisation.

 

We spotted a sea turtle swimming near our boat.

 

At night we had diner on board under a clear sky full of stars.

After a morning swim in the bay we hauled anchor at 10.45h.

 

The wind and the waves were against us so our motor hed to help us out.

 

At 13.40h we arrived in the small harbour of Plaka Leonidion.

A flottila was in town, so nearly all places were taken, we were lucky to find one of the last spots on the quay.

 

It again was an afternoon of relaxing and swimming.

 

At night we had a nice meal at the Michel and Margaret Taverna.

In the morning we bought a big chunk from a fresh caught tuna fish.

Sailors from a neighbouring yacht had caught it yesterday.

That will be our evening diner.

 

At 10.15h we left Gerakas.

 

It was again an upwind trip under motor.

 

At 12.10h we anchored in Chapel cove in Kyparissi.

It’s a very nice bay, ideal for swimming and relaxing.

 

Some of the crew walked to the village to get some provisions.

 

At night we had a very tasty tuna fish diner on board.

Yesterday we stayed in Monemvasia and visited the old medieval town.

It’s one of the most beautiful and best preserved old towns in Europe, visit is a must!

 

This morning we had to leave the marina by 8.00h, under police orders.

There were dredging works being done in the harbour.

 

So we decided to continue our trip to our next destination, Gerakas.

 

It was a bumpy trip under motor, because for our destination the wind was right nose on.

 

At 10.00h we anchored on the quay in Gerakas.

 

We spend the day relaxing, sunning and swimming…

 

At night we had a very nice dinner at the Avra taverna.

This night we stayed in Sarakiniko bay.

 

At sunrise, 6.30h, we hauled anchor and departed for our longest trip, destination Peloponnese.

 

While underway we spotted some dolphins and a sea turtle.

 

For 4 hours we had some nice sailing wind, de rest of the time our motor had to help us out.

 

At 17.45h me moored in the marina of Monemvasia.

 

At night we had a very nice and tasteful dinner at the Scorpios taverna.
