12 June - PALAMUT - TURGUTREIS
PALAMUT - TURGUTREIS
Weather : Sunny ca.28°C
Wind : W 1 Bf increasing to W 3 Bf in the afternoon.
Our last sailing-day ...
Nearly no wind, so we had to go on motor the entire trip.
At ca.14.45h we arrived in the D-Marina of Turgutreis.
First we fueled up, we needed 129 litres of Diesel.
Once we were berthed, “Ozi” from Argolis did the check-out.
There was a bit of a miscommunication with the staff of Argolis,
in 15 years of chartering this was the most disappointing check-out I ever had.
Let’s say “customer-management” isn’t there strongest point.
Afterwards everything was cleared, but it was a pitty it happend,
“Issue closed”.
In the evening we had stroll through the local Bazar,
and of course a nice Turkish Dinner.
...
This ends a very nice Turkish-sailing-trip,
the Turkish-coast surprised us with it’s unspoiled nature,
and his good accomodation for sailors (even in the most remote bays).
Hope you’ve enjoyed it,
Turkey-Team-2011
Bieke, Dipmala, Rob, Diane, Koerel & Koen
PS
Our next trip will be from 16th untill 23th of July 2011,
in the Argo-Saronic Gulf in Greece.
Of course you can follow us on this blog.

(price 40 TL/day).
Along the beach are a few nice restaurants,
we had dinner at Merhaba's (ca.20 Euro pp)

The last 3 hours we had a nice half-wind-sail.
At 17.50h we moored at the jetty of the Aurora-restaurant in Selimiye,
in the Hisaronu-Gulf.
Selimiye is a nice laid-back village,
there are a few markets and also an ATM-machine.
At the Aurora they do eveything to make a sailors'stay as convenient
as possible, ... mooringlines, electricity, water, nice showers, ...
and a delicious restaurant.

the Greek island of Kos on or way to Knidos.
It was a very nice day of sailing.
At 17.45h we arrived in Knidos,
we moored alongside on the wooden jetty.
(price 25 TL / incl.water & electr)
